As soon as little bug started saying da-da-da-da and ma-ma-ma-ma regularly, she somehow learned how to click her tongue. I say 'somehow' which means 'her dad taught her'. Now, all she wants to do is click. No more consonants, no more screams - just tongue clicks, which she thinks are hysterical.
She clicks away to her toys, very pleased with herself. I wouldn't mind, except that she's starting to sound like the aliens from that movie Signs. Which is starting to freak me out. I've made it a mission to keep saying da-da-da-da around her to try to get her to a little less clicking and more talking. Unfortunately making noises are not as fun and exciting as clicking!
