Little bug said "da da" yesterday. It was ridiculously cute.
We've been working with her on consonants, we keep saying da-da-da-da and ba-ba-ba-ba around her. And daddy says ma-ma-ma-ma, which must really confuse her. I don't try ma-ma with her yet since m's are really hard, I figured I'd start with the easy stuff.
So, ever since Saturday morning little bug has been whispering to herself little sounds that sound like ta-ta-ta. But she only whispers like it is a big secret. On Sunday, she was jumping around like a popcorn kernel in her jumper and she came out with a loud, da-da. She then said it a couple of times, my friend even heard her.
Then, last night I was taking a bath with her and daddy came in to get her. She turned and looked at him and yelled, "Da-Da!". Daddy had a big smile, and of course, I teared up since I think my kid is a genius. I know she has no idea that he is her daddy, and I'm sure she'll start calling everything da-da - but it was a great moment!
