Pad, Pad, Crash, Thunk

Little bug is enjoying her newfound freedom and running around the house everywhere. All I hear is pad, pad, pad, silence, crash, 'oh', pad, pad, pad...as her little feet run around on the hardwoods. We were in the living room talking and little bug was making her rounds around the house, going into the kitchen and bringing us things. First she brought me a styrofoam coffee cup, then a lid - I was hoping for the coffee pot next, but she padded over with the potato masher, of course.

We were playing with her stacking rings, learning how things fit. She got the concept of stacking the rings on the pole, but then tried to stack a book on top of it. Frustration set in, so she picked up her little pole with the rings on it, walked over to the top of the stairs and took the rings off one by one and tossed them through the slats of her baby gate down the stairs. So I guess the lesson of what fits where was extended to include the fact that plastic rings fit through the slats of the baby gate.

The little narcissist has also realized that the back of daddy's guitar is shiny enough for her to see her reflection. So when he is playing she acts sweet like she wants to play with the guitar and then makes him spin it around so she can see herself in the wood on the back. She gives herself a kiss, giggles and pads away.
