What a difference 24 hours makes! Little bug woke up with no fever and was just a little bit clingy in the morning. After her first nap, she was raring to go. This weekend is tax-free shopping in Georgia so while daddy was playing soccer, us gals hit the mall. We didn't have much luck, other than witnessing the pandemonium that is Stride Rite on tax free + BOGOHO day. There were kids packed in the shoe store wall-to-wall, little bug was enjoying all the chaos like she was watching a movie. She stayed in her stroller, drinking on her sippy cup while she took in all the drama of the store as I exchanged her shoes. I also learned that she might not have the best fashion sense considering that she kept pulling clothes that weren't exactly my style off the rack in Ann Taylor.
Once daddy got home, we headed to the stores to do some back to school teacher shopping. Little bug feel in love in OfficeMax. They had typewriters (yes, apparently they still make typewriters) plugged in on the bottom shelf. Little bug jumped up and down and pounded on the keys to her heart's content. They she spied a guy eating a candy bar and made a bee line for him. I guess she was hoping that he would share...he didn't.
Tonight when I took her out of the bathtub, I was drying her off and singing "We Go Together" from Grease to her. When I hit the "boog-e-dy boog-e-dy boog-e-dy
boog-e-dy" part, she turned and looked at me like I was nuts. When she was sitting on her changing table, I was bouncing her arms around like she was dancing to the music and she started singing along, using "da-da" as her lyrics for everything. After she had her bottle, rather than sitting down for her bedtime story, she was like a pinball. She ran from her clothes hamper, to her diaper genie, to her dresser...ping, ping, ping. Then finally we zipped her into her sleep sack and she conked out.
