When little bug sees someone to say hello or good-bye she always waves and says 'hi' or 'bye' (since they sound the same when she says them) about a minute after they've already left. It is like the hamster stopped spinning on the wheel in her brain for a few seconds. I'll be strolling her through the grocery store and someone will be waving and smiling at her, then two aisles later she says 'hi' and starts waving at nothing. Today when we were leaving Target, we hit the parking lot and I hear 'bye' and she's waving. A little too late.
She also doesn't seem to be that upset about crawling away from me. Today she's been crawling down the hall, or across the room and I'll wave and say 'bye'. She turns around and gives me a quick wave and says 'bye', smiles, and keeps on trucking.
